Step 2: Prepare

Monthly meetings are held with the purpose of getting to know one another with activities that get every member involved no matter their age or experience. Additionally, we learn about the culture of Appalachia, poverty and its effects on the human spirit, and the importance of sensitivity, stewardship, and safety.

Step 3: Join a Work Group

For every 5-6 teens that join ASP, there will be an adult male and adult female to complete that work group. This Work Group will travel together to serve an Appalachian family in July and will develop a bond that is usually described as irreplaceable.

Step 4: Change Lives

The main purpose of this organization is learn the true value of serving others during a 10 day mission trip in July to one of the Central Appalachian states. We depart on a Friday morning, spend the weekend traveling, and return on a Sunday after our week of service is complete.
