During this day, group members learn how to use tools safely and familiarize/refamiliarize themselves with a variety of tools while building a low stakes project. Projects that have been built in the past include birdhouses, porch chairs, picnic tables, etc.

By learning the safe and proper way to use power tools, group members feel prepared to do repairs such as room additions, building wheelchair ramps, replacing flooring, replacing siding, and roofing homes.
